From the Papers. The sixth son of Mrs Davies, of William Street, Bangor, has now joined the Colours. Major-General C. V. Townshend, C.B., D.S.O., commander of the British force which has so long besieged -it, Kat-el- Amara, in Mesopotamia, was fifcy-five on Monday. The derelict three-masted schooner J. L. Nelson (298 tons), registered at Barbadoes, has been towed into Swansea in a dismasted and sinking condition. There were no crew on board. A Liverpool boy was on Monday placed on probation for three months for being on the premises of a biscuit manufacturing company with intent to steal. It was stated that the boy covered his clothing with flour and took his stand in a line oi workmen receiving wages.
