CORRESPONDENCE. I I We do not hold ourselves responsible for thp opinions of our correspondents. PANORAMA PLEASURE GROUNDS. To the Editor. Sir,— Ratepayer's letter in one of your last issues has prompted me to enquire what sum the letting of the Refresh- ment Shed on the above grounds did yield to the Council annually. I was J astonished to learn that it is but the I paltry sum of a little over six pounds. I Surely, Mr Editor, this is a totally I inadequate revenue for the privilege of l catering for all the visitors who visited I the beautiful Panorama Pleasure I Grounds and I would respectfully urge that the Council should lose no time in inviting offers for the tenancy. If they will only do so I feel sure that there will be several who will gladly avail them- selves of the opportunity of sending in an offer. Why not invite offes such as was done with the foreshore which now produces such a substantial return ? Yours truly, ANOTHER RATEPAYER. I
