To the Editor of the Adsain" I Sir. May I venture to remind the ladies of our district, who are so beneficiently engaged in making garments for our gallant troops at the front, that similar garments would be most acceptable for our own Territorials now at Northampton. The winter is closing upon us; let us not therefore forget that there are many of our own lads who will be ever grate- ful for our thought of them and the part they are playing for their country's defence. By the way-I have just been shown a flannel shirt measuring 56 in. round the chest, and which reached nearly down to my toes. A 'giant's robe' truly I am told it was one of 3 or 4 others, but what a pitiable waste of good army flannel" There are 51 of our men in H Co, most of whom would be glad of an outfit for the winter. I am yours obediently, Corwen, Horatio E. Walker. Oct. 10, 1914.
