CORWEN RELIEF COMMITTEE, A meeting of the Corwen and District War Relief Committee was held at the Assembly Rooms, Corwen, on Friday last, under the presidency of Mr. Dudley Morgan. The following members were present The Revs. G. Williams, A. Abel, Trevor Hughes, John Evans, T. Ll. Williams, H. C. Williams, Lewis Davies, John Williams, II. A. Jones, Edward Edwards, I. T. Davies, Foulkes Ellis, Messrs. D. Davies, R. James Jones, W. Jones, C. W. L. Tottenham, R. E. Jones, J. Rowlands, R. H. Morris, R. Meyrick Roberts, T. Lloyd Jones, J. Williams (Cynfal), John Morgan, E. D. Jones, Thomas Pritchard, Lloyd Jones, Dr. Hindley, Dr. H. E. Walker, Ex-Inspector T. E. Parry, Inspector Davies, J. Salusbury Roberts and L. Lloyd John (clerk). The representatives of the different districts reported progress as follows :—Llandrillo, Collections and a ladies sewiog class Cynwyd, ladies sevsing guild and a collection had been made at the Parish Church. Corwen, ladies sewing class and collections. Druid and Bettws, nil. Gwyddelwern, sewing class an d collection at Parish Church. A sewing class and an ambulance class bad commenced at Carrog. A collection had been made at Glyn- dyfrdwy Parish Church. Cynfal, collections -at prayer meetings. Glanrafon had joined Bala district. It was unanimously decided to make a house-to-house collection in each district. Committees are to be formed in each district with the following gentlemen as conveners Corwen, Mr. L. Lloyd John Cynwyd, Rev. H. A. Jones Gwyddelwern, Mr. Lloyd Jones, Tynycelyn Cynfal and Bettws, Mr. John Williams, Shop, Cynfal Carrog, Dr. Hindley; Druid, Mr. T. Pritchard Glyndyfrdwy, Mr. Tottenham, Carrog Isa. Resolved to ask employees—where full time is being worked-to make weekly or monthly contributions towards these funds. The collectors will, if desired, make weekly calls upon those who so desire and donations may be made either on one sum or by instal- ments. The committee desire all collectors to bring in the first instalment of the collections by the 20th of September. All monies received by the Committee will be allocated— one half to the National Fund and the other half for local needs. The following were appointed Collectors for the respective districts of Corwen:— Penybryn, Mr. H. W. Anwyl, Mr. J. Salusbury Roberts, Inspector Parry, Mr. R. Meyrick Roberts West End, Inspector Davies, Mr. R. H. Morris, Mr. Ivor Davies, Mr. Williams (Chemist) The Square, Mr. W. 0. Williams, Mr. Evans (chemist) East End, Mr. John Rowlands, Mr. Eben. Morris, Mr. D. L. Jones, Mr. Derbyshire Bonwn, Mr. R. James Jones, Mr. T. L. Phillips Tynycefn, Mr. R E Jones, Mr. Maurice Hughes Clawddponcen, Mr. Thomas Jones, Tynewydd.
