Success at the Royal Show.—No doubt our many readers will be highly pleased to understand of the success at the above Show, held recently, of Mr Rob rt Davies, Felin Rug Shoeing Forge, Corwen, in obtaining his R. S. S. Certificate. This honour reflects the highest praise upon him, and shows his capabilities as a Shoeing Smith. Mr Davies has therefore, not only gained a good name for himself, but has brought admiration to his native place, and helped to raise the high standard of work locally. He is the eldest son of Mr David Davies, of Felin Reg Forge, who is himself a most competent blacksmith, and chairman of the local committee of the Worshipful Company of Farriers. We wish to heartily congratulate him, and hope that still further success may attain his efforts. Y Seindorf. These gardens which are now looking at their very best, were judged last Saturday, by Mr Waters, Head Gardener to Mr and Mrs Lloyd, Rhagatt, who had a very difficult task to perform, owing to the excellence of the children's work. After a careful and critical survey of the plots the following were ajudged tne best (1) Dick Humphreys (2) 0. Lloyd Richard (3) Emyr G. Williams (4) Harold Jones (5) David John Jones Copy of Report on the Council School Gardens. "It was a great pleasure to me on Saturday July 18th, to inspect the Boys' Garden Plots belonging to the Corwen Council School. To decide which were the best was really a difficult matter owing to the excellent condition they were in. The crops of vege- tables look remarkably well, and the whole of the plots look neat and clean—showing that great interest is taken by the boys in their work. I think great credit is due to Mr. Anwyl and his assistant Mr. Edwards, and the boys are very fortunate in having such keen gardeners to instruct them." (Signed), B. Waters, Gardener to E. 0. V. Lloyd Esq, Rhagatt. Mr E. O. V. Lloyd greatly regretted that owing to ill-health he was3 unable to^be present at the judging, To-night (Tuesday), weather permitting, the gardens will be open for inspection by the parents and friends of the School. Bisley Meeting.—Last Thursday, Corpl. A E Pearce left for the above meeting, and was accorded a hearty send-off by his many friends. He intends competing for the Kings Prize which takes place this week. We heartily extend to him the best of luck. Am Newyddion eraill Corwen gwel tud. 3
