I CYNWYD. Obituary.-We regret to announce the death of Mr John Evans, Mount Pleasant, which took place on Tuesday, the 30th December, at the age of 87. The deceased gentlemen was a native of Corwen, and came to reside in this neighbourhood 48 years ago as coachman to I the late Miss Jones, Ty'nllwyn (now Bryn- llwyn). He retired on pension 20 years ago, and enjoyed good health up to two years ago when be had a serious illness. Mr Evans was of a very pleasant disposition, a great favorite in the district generally, especially with the children. The funeral took place at S.John's Churchyard, Cynwyd, the following Saturday amidst many mamfestationH of regret and was largely attended. The Rector (Rev A. Abel) officiated at the house, church and graveside. The cortege was preceded by members of Cader Dimel and Edeyrnioa .Loages of the Ind. Order of Oddfellows. The deceased had been a member of Cader Dimel Lodge -for upwards of sixty years. At, the church the well-kaowT', hynm 0 fryniau. (\ 1 was sung with much feeling. The chief mourners were Mr a Mrs R Evans, Altriacham (son and daughter-in-law); Misses Evans (daughters) Miss Evans (niece); Mr R Evans, Corwen (nephew). The following acted as bearers Messrs John and William Roberts, J Rhys Edwards and J Roberts Jones. Our deepest sympathy are with all the family, including j daughter Mrs Wyse, Newton Abbot, who was unable to attend the fuperaL In their sad bereavement.
