Smith was reported in your last issue to have made the following statement at the Court-Martial held a.t Devizes "My answer to the charge is that I am here through the misrepresentation of the Tribun- als as to the demands of the Military Service Act. That is my explanation. The above statement was not made by Mr Smith, and no reference to the Tribunals was made by him beyond the statment that he was granted exemption from Combatant Service by the Appeal Tribunal at Pontypridd.
