SliMPLY GRAND." I FLAG DAYS REALISE £ 55 6s. 2d. FOR BLIND SOLDIERS AND SAILORS. The result named is simply grand, and I am delighted. Many thanks for all your help.-G. H. Hodges. The above was the contents of a postcard received by Mr. Will Hopkin, Pontardawe, on Thursday morning from Mr. G. H. Hodges, South Wales secretary of the National Institute for the Blind, which is responsible at St. Dunstan's, London, for the training of nearly 1,000 soldiers and sailors blinded in the present war. The total of L55 6s. 2d. is the result of the ef- forts of the Edward Bevan, Trebanos; Dyffryn Tawe, Pontardawe; Dr. Logan Dahno, AUtwen; Glantawe, Clydach; H. N. Miers," Glais; Llwynbedw, Birch- grove; and Dr. W. J. Lewis, Ystaly- fera, lodges of the R.A.O.B. The flag days were held on Friday .and Satur- day last in response to the appeals sent out by Sir Arthur Pearson, who is the president of the Institute. The commit- tee of the local lodges of which Bro. Lewis Ford, K.O.M., was chairman, Bro. Goo. Howells, K.O.M., treasurer, and Bro. Pusey, secretary, may feel proud of the success of their efforts.
