TO THE ELECTORS OF COLWYN BAY AND COLWYN. AD.IES AND GENTLEMEN, I beg to tender my sincere thzink,4 to those L who not only voted for me, but so heartily supported me at the recent election. With reference to those who did not support me I quite realise that they did not oppose me on personal grounds but were guided by conscientious motives. That liberty which I always claim for myself I most readily accord to others. The election was conducted with that good union which usually characterises such events in our local life, and in that respect leaves nothing to be desired. Your faithful Servant, J. E. BROOKS. Bron Derw, Colwyn Bay. 9530 Rhyl Urban District Council. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE WEST WARD. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN/ Allow me to tender you my sincere thanks for the honour you have done me in electing me as one of your Representatives without opposition. I would particularly desire to thank those Electors who, when they heard I bad been nominated, spontaneously promised me their support and influence. I hope my attendances and my attention to the duties of the Office will be such as to merit the kind confidence you have shown me. Always at your service, Yours obediently, A. RHYDWEN JONES. Bronheulog, Rhyl, 15th March, 1904. IT Rhyl Urban District Council. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE WEST WARD. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I beg to express my appreciation of the honour conferred upon me by my election on the Council, the third time, unopposed. I take this fact as a proof that my humble services have given you satisfaction. As in the past, you may be sure that for the future I will do my utmost to serve you faithfully, and to do whatever may be in my power to promote the welfare of the town. I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, nllM Your obedient Servant, T. WHITLEY. EJection Addresses. Colwyn Bay and Colwyn District Council Election, 1904. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE COLWYN BAY WARD. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, At the request of many ratenayers, I beg to offer myself as a Candidate in this Election. My Election Address has probably reached you, but I may take the opportunity of briefly stating its main points. I would remind yon that I am a perfectly IN- DEPENDENT CANDIDATE, free from Party or Sectarian ties, and eager to promote the best interests of the community as a whole. My long experience as an Architect, Surveyor, and Valuer, enables me to render specially valuable assistance in connection with works of public im- provements, including such expensive schemes as the Sewerage Works, Promenade Extension, and Isola- tion Hospital, as well as in the management of those important concerns, the Gas Works and the Electricity Works. I am in favour of giving, as far as possible, public contracts to LOCAL EIRIVIS, and where that is not practicable, of insisting upon the condition that preference shall be given to local labour. I am in favour of dividing the District into Wards. I would draw your speciaft/ttention to the need of advertising the town as a health and pleasure resort, a subject to which, if elected, I should devote special attention. As you are aware, I was the founder of the TOWN ADVERTISING ASSOCIATION, whose work has already produced excellent results. My aim would be to have the town clean, the roads in good repair, and the whole district well lit in all quarters. I appeal to all classes WITHOUT DISTINCTION for their support. I I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Yours faithfully, RICHARD BOOTH. Colwyn Bay, 16th March, 1904. 9548 Official Notices. Urban District of Colwyn Bay and Colwyn. NOTICE. EDUCATION ACT, 1902.
