For a lilttle whilTe they were 'sra!cfcessf-ul; illl his, Then came the, last pori nit of the day, Walter Parry beating Davies with a sixthi shoit in, a masterly fashion. Conl- way forbedi -another fruitless, corner, but that was the only incident of note up to litlie, call of tilme. Final scores1:—Conway, .6; Llandudno, 4. Notes on the Game. Conway were victorious, and they well de- served; their victory. That the result should prove isal. however, was' a mditer of as much surprise as cicngpaltul'atioim. The moslt sanguine never lanliicipa'tedl so glorious a triumph. The truth 6s—Caraway has- not yet fully realised the true capaiciity of the boys whio1 wear the lighit- blue: shirts, otherwise' Saturday's success would noit have so many of As a miatter of fact, they: -were altogether; superior to Llain- dud'no—nn'Mcing' One1 exc-epiciion:, anid this was that t'h-ey were not so smart oni the ball- as1 their hosts. During the- first fifteen miiiiut-es of the opening moiety ithe backs were slaw -and faulty, but they made up for it splendidly before the closle of the game. AI;ded by the: stiff breeze, Conway had four-fifths of the, game in this half, and 1 during tih-e best pant 10.£ the tilmei they were within -shooting range of their opponents' nelt. Under 'the circumstances: t'hiey should' -have been more prodigallwith their shooting. The pas'sihlg game was ,niow io,u)t of the question, -and this- seamed ;to- be apparent to all, Ibuit why not 'have: "let fly" .more Often ? Llandudno opened matters in a very business- like way ini the selconld ballf, and though it meant four sucicessf'uil shot's for a win, they facedl the imuscc ir-ight gallantly. Filficeen minulte's later, however, a shawe,r of sileet, and -tlhe1 wind feM. Skiplper Williams' decision to face1 the elements in the initial fifty minutes was, -therefore!, un- fbrituaiate, and Conway were. undoubtedly mUlchi favo-uredi in this respect. The: two first goals were netted within five minutes- of ome another, and the lasl, was easily got. They gave a better exhibition than Conway for ahoult forty minutes, but, after the fifth point bad. beeni notched againlslt them, -everything "fell fl.a,t"-except t'he,'r indus, trious little opponents. The last ten1 min- utels of the game were. practically monopolised by the visitors. The1 adjudications orf Referee Llewelyn Williams appeared to have given gen- eral satisfaction.

Rhyl Football Notes. (BY "CRITIC.") Rhyl Defeated by Bangor University. The defe-alt of the Rhyl team -on Satllrdiay last ati home must not be take ID it-oo- seriously, in'as- much as it was only a "frieiniddy," a'nd, there- forie, did not "I-cou,ilt." It is the old story :th-ait -teams considering their past prowess^ should ntot under-esitimiaite the abilities: oif teams: which are ncli pretending to first-rate- football circles. To be cau'ght nap- ping by a college teaml is n'o- new ex-pterience of teams -of far greater -superiority than- that of Rhyl. Collegians-, or members of a Umd'vtensity Cl-ub, are -invariably in the: pink of condition for ttiedr class of football, and Saturday last found the. representatives of Bangor University "all there. For the ene-ounter the- Rhyl committee dtiJdl not tall upon the -services -of the- fual leani to do duty, relying upon some substitutes. There- was a hiilgh wind during the first- iialf of the! game, and which favoured the homesters, who fairly "penned" their opponents three-parts of the: time. The; University men were: able- to initiate a few commendable movements, but the defence couJd' not, be broke 111 down. From a. pass by Brooks., Edward's scored a nice goa'l. This was- all thei scoTlingiiIl the' first half, but the remainder of the. game was a little more in- teresting. The Universitty forwards were: s-peedy, and meant winning, -if possrihle. All the home forwards were frequenltly dangerous, and after putting on another point, the visilting cus- todian disitdnlgiuished himself by negotiating sev- eral splendid1 shots. Bangor pressed, scoring .from a judicious pass, and afterwards equalising owing to a misunder- standing in the- home defence. The: third: and fourth poi-ntts accrued to the visitors by good work. This pilinig on of the a'gon-y was appar- ently too muc-F of a pill for the hio-me eleven, who 'Commented' to exert themselves, and they gave- the University men -a .taste- of their quali- ties. Numerous shots were rained into the goal- mouth in quick succession. The pressure was great, and .in the co,urise of a, determined ont- slaugh-t and am equally- -stubborn defence-, a pen- alty was. -awarded Rhyl. This me-arati Rhyl's third point; but they were- unable to draw level, and! were defeated by four goals to three. As previously stated, the result) cannot be regarded s,er?o?usi?,v, fox whids(L the, hormiest!?-rs, pl-ave?d? in, a -4 ?-o?ewhialt loose fasih-i?oii; witih,ou? ia,-i, ex p-erience,d gOlaIkeeper, kh!e University men were "full speed ahead" throughout the game. Byspeciial arrangemenlt, this Rhyl teem will be engaiged alt h-ome to-mo-rrbw, with Middle- wiich, in-the Combination. The committee -u'ave selected the folllowing as the- team-: Goal, R. J.
