LLANFAIRFECHAN. ClIRISMAS TREAT.—By the kindness of Col.; Platt, Cn., the infants of the National Schools, Llanfairfcchan, were given a Christmas treat on Friday, December 23rd. Great delight was caused by a brihiantly I ghtc-d Christmas trea laden with toys Each child received a gift- oranges, buns, and sweets, and their happy h'cea and hearty cheeis gave evidence of thcu' enjoy- ment, Several songs were prettily sang under the direction of Miss Parry, head mistros6, and great amusement was caused by two four-year-old re- citers Among those present were Col. and Mra Piatt, the Rev F. I': "VVatkin Davies, the J{e\' W. B. Hughes, Mrs Richards, Miss Maitland King, Mrs Coxon, Miss Kough, and Miss Parry. HO 1 POT FLINI).-As the result of the SllC fuJ arrangements made by Mr Chkrles Fisher and the other offie.als, the hotpot fund was so distributed that no needy person was left unpro- vided for this Christmas, 81 persons participating. The scheme of giving t ckets for groceries, etc., nas met with such favour that it will probably be always adopted in future instead of the usual hotpot. CHRISTMAS SERVICES.—Carols were sung in both ^t. Mary's- and Christ Churches on Sun- day last, and spec.al Christmas anthems wero also rendered in most of the chapels. CHRIST CHURCH CHOIR BOYS.—All the choir boys of Christ Church have received season- able presents from the R .v F. P. Watkin Daviea* Rector, and Mr Foster, *Bryn Awcl. MALE VOICE CHOIR.—The Llanfairfecha* Male Voice Choir won the first prize at the Conway Bank Hobday Eisteddfod. W ESLEYANS.—Last Saturday a Christmas tree and tea party were held at the Wesleyaa Chapel. Later in the evening the Rev Garrett Roberts delivered an intresting lecture on "Abra- ham Lincoln, the Bishop of Beony Brow." The meeting was very successful.—At the Sunday evening service 21 new members were received ivfc Bethel Chapel,
