PICTURESQUE SCENES AT THE GORSEDD CIRCLE. ARCHDRUID PRESENTED WITH SCEPTRE. COUNTESS OF DUMDONALD MADE AN OVATE. (BY OUR REPORTERS.) The auspicious commencement to the Eistedd- fod proceedings made by Monday evening's p&ruouiarly successful mesting of the Cymmrodr Orion Society was fittingly followed oci Tuesday morning by an equaiiy successful opening Gor- sed'd meeting- on tie Flagstaff. Notwithstand- ing a. geritiy-failing barcanouer, the weather was allogetihier satisfactory, for if the sun only shooa while Gwynodd was paying a tribute to the noble influence of its ra-vs the air remained "001 and pheasant through orit. All rail and other roada appearea to converge on Colwyn Bay, and the crowdb poured into tie town from eswiy morning from all directions. Many hundreds had! arrived the previous evening, among them being members of At least one of tie choirs engaged in the chief ohoril event, and the thorough f ares presented a very animated appearaiaoe at an early hour. The CbAvyn Bay strwts lead themselves to a much better scheme of decoration than that car- ned out, and it was samewibat disappointing tfeat the townspeople as a whole had not taken bet- 'ter advantage of ao rare ao. opportunity to dis- play their artiskc tastes. Apart from Llia4 how- ever, the community and the EiataddEod pro- moters had responded spiendSdiy to all the alis made upon theiri, the Arrangements generally being exceptionally good.
