ROATH CONGREGA- TIONAL. The above match was played at Cardiff be- fore a large crowd. The noticeable thing about the Roath Park innings was the splen- did stand by the 9th wicket. Eight wickets were down for 23', and nine wickets for 57. This is about the third time this season that Llanharran have suffered from an eighth or ninth Avicket stand, and on one occasion it cost them the match. J. Edwards was the top scorer on the Roath side. His splendid innings of 24 was made by hard hitting. D. Jenkins and J. Smith batted in a sound and attractive manner for Llanharran. North took four wickets for 10 runs; J. Smith three for 34, and Russell two for 9. Scores: — Roath Park. F. Hogan, b J. Smith 0 W. Charles, b North 0 F. Hughes, c W. Hughes, b North 3 E. Mackintosh, the runners up of the Cardiff and District Club Union, were the visitors to Talbot on Saturday, and the team included David, the Welsh ex-International footballer and present Wigan half-back. Talbot batted first, and were dismissed for 42. Bad judg- ment was shown in the run getting, which re- sulted in no fewer than five men being run out. Mackintosh opened their innings against the bowling of Parsons and Roberts. Both bowlers kept an excellent length, and, the fielding being good, runs were hard to obtain.
