IMPROVEMENT IN SAILS.—The rudeness of Bo- reas, it is expected, in a short time, will have to contend with a more lasting and formidable op- ponent than mere canvas, with which he at pre- sent plays so many wanton pranks. ANECDOTE OF A PRISOJT.—M. Ouvrard, an army contractor, is at present in prison at Paris, on heavy charges but lie has realized large sums and lives like a Prince. The following story is told of his incarceration •—On the same floor with his apartments are two rooms, which he dknired to have, pour s'arrondir—that is, to have all th« flat; the gaoter told him he could not have the rooms, as they wert hired by twodebtors.
