-a- a_ From the LONDON GAZETTE, Dec. 17. At (he Court at Chariton-house, the 161b of Decem-bcis IS14, present, his Royal High- BesS the PrintC HegenL in Council. Whereas hy an Ac!, passed in the iffty-third year of his Majesty's reign, cap. 155, 'it is enacted, thai it shaH not he lawful for any private person or persons to import any ¡;oûds, wares, or mcr- ihandise, from any port or place within the limits of the East India Company's charter, except only into such ports of the United I kingdom of Great Britain and I-rehtad as shall be provided with warehouses, tooetiie-r wlilt wet dock or basins, or s;ich other securities as shall, in the judgment of the Lord High Trea- surer, or ot the Lords Commissioners of Ihe Treasury for the time being, or any tliree or more of them, in Great Britain and Ireland respectively, he fit and proper for the deposit and saCe custody of all such goods, wares, aud merchandise, as well as fur the collet,1 Iion of ail duties payable thereon, and shall have been duly deciarcd so to be, hy the order of his Majesty in Council, in Great Britain, or by the Lord Lieutenant in Council, in Ireland: and whereas the port of Liverpool has been deemed by the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury in Great Britain to be fit and proper for the deposit and safe custody of all such goods, wares, and merchandise, as well as for the collection of all duties payable iliereon his Royal Highness the Ptince Re- gent, in the name and on the behalf of his Ma- jesty, and by and with the advice of his Majes- ty's Privy Council, is thereupon pleased to declare, and it is hereby declared, that the port of Liverpool is a port fit and proper for the deposit and safe custody of all such goods, wares, and merchandise, as well as for the collection of all duties payable thereon; and the Rtght Honourable the Lords Commis- sioners of his Majesty's Treasury are tvgkyc =. the necessary directions herein accordingly.
