WEll: ESI)A Y. Fi",h'Clock. THE French papers contain all account of a plot, (which our limits will not admit the insertion of this week) the object of which is stated to have been the deliverance of Ferdi- nand Vll. The agent appointed to this ser- vice is a Baron de Holli, supposed to he an irishman, hut other accounts stal him to be a Swiss, which we think the iviost probable. We are rather incliiied to suspect that Buona- parte may have scnt SUllie persons into this country for the purpose of being employed in such an undertaking. Certainly auj man seri-" ously determined upon executing it, wouldhave adopted more secret means, and have taken ¡ a legs open and circuitous route—First he lands at Q,oi1)eron—goes to Parig-reiliafils-, there selling diamonds—then proceeds to Vfal- ancay, but only to break his plot to Ferdi- ii,tiid- fie was next to go to the Cdast, and afterward to Paris, to get inch and horses necessary fop relays on Ihe road On his ar- rival at Valancay, he immediately breaks Ihe plot, to the flltendaulof Ferdinand's house- hold, a perSOll who would obviously he 1IC.- lected from his known attachment to the French Government, and this person commu- nicates it to the Goyeritur of* (lie Castle I It 's prohnbte that the inoment the plot Came to the knowledge of Ferdinand, ho suspected it to be a snare laid by the French Government to entrap him into some rash disclosures or attempt. In-order therefore to defeat it, he might have expressed his abhorrence of such a design, and have written that tetter which has been published, in which letter there is the most convitvcing proofof h is being kept close prisoner. For he asks permission to quit wlitcl-, is by no means pleasant I or suitable for him, To what other prison I he is to be convoyed, the French Papers do not inform us' .I
