Political Summary, ! ..---..-"
Political Summary, THE attention of our readers this week, will be naturally directed to the events which toplfc place in the Metropolis preceding and subsequent to the committal of Sir Francis Biirdett to the Tower; aud to the proceed- ings of the House of Commons, on receipt of the Baronet's letter to the Speaker. Of these interesting occurrences, we have given as am- pie an account as our limits would admit.— We certainly were very much surprised at the decision of the House for committal to the Tower; it was granting Sir Francis the sum- in.it of his wishes, as we are convinced that nothing could have mortified hitn uiore than a reprimand from the Speaker.
