Presented at the Forty-first Annual Meeting, held at the Offices of the Company, London Bridge, I City, E.C Friday, February 17th, 1905. The Directors have pleasure in presenting the Report and Statement ot Accounts for the past year, and in calling the attention of the Share- holders to the very satisfactory advance made in the Company's business. Although the year has been one in which great depression in trade baa obtained, the progress made still calls for con- gratulation.. During the last three years the income ms increased by £ 376,380, being at the rate of nearly 38 per sent., and in the same period the Assets have increased by £ 998,632, or 69 per cent. It has to be borne in mind that in the past year 5^ weeks' premium income was received, against 53 weeks' in the previous year. PREMIUMS (DECEMBER 1904). The new Policies issued during the year number 1,278,740 and the Premium Income on the Policies in force on the Company's books now amounts to £ 1,433.624 9s 7d. CLAIMS. The Company has paid 153,879 Life Claims, Grants ond Matured Endowments during the year, amounting with Bonuses, to PA35,847 4s 10d, which, added to sums previously paid in claims since the establishment of the Company, make a total of £ 4,263,282 3s ld. ACCUMULATED FUNDS. The Total Funds, with Capital paid up, now amount to £ 2,428.414 12s Bd., showing an increase for the year of P.361,935 4sUCd.
