NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Cardigan will be held and kept at the Town Hall, Lampeter, on Thursday, the 9th day of April, 1903, at Eleven o'clock in the afternoon, at which hour the names of the Grand Jurors will be called over. The Court will then proceed with the business ia the following order :-(I) County business (2) Trial of Prisoners; (3) Hearing of Appeals. THE TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION COMMITTEE, at their Meeting to be held on the 23rd of April next, will fix the centres at which Travelling Dairy Schools will be held, Extension Lectures on Agricul- ture delivered, and Courses of Instruction in Cookery, Gardening and Wool Dyeing given during the ensu- ing Financial Year. Parish Councils and Local Committees desiring to secure for their Districts Courses in any of these subjects, and willing to comply with the Committee's requirements and to make the requisite arrangements, should apply to the undersigned by the 13th of April at latest. WHEREAS by Sub-section (2) of Section 27 of the Education Act, 1902 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), it is enacted that the Act shall, except as expressly provided, come into operation on the appointed day and the appointed day shall be the 26th day of March, 1903, or such other day not being more than eighteen months later, as the Board of Education may appoint, and different days may be appointed for different purposes and different pro- visions of the Act and for different councils. And whereas by an Order dated the sixteenth day of March, 1903, the Board of Education have fixed the first day of April, 1903, as the appointed day for the purposes of Sub-section (5) of Section 23 of the Act. Now therefore, the Board of Education, pursuant to the Act and every other power enabling them in that behalf, hereby appoint as the appointed day for the Councils named in the Schedule to this Order, for all purposes ano, provisions of the Act except for the purposes of Sub-section (5) of Section 23 of the Act, the thirtieth day of September, 1903, or such later day or days as the Board may for any such purpose or provision of the Act for any such Council hereafter appoint.
