THE TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION COMMITTEE, JL at their Meeting to be held on the 17th instant, will fix the Centres at which Travelling Dairy Schools will be held, Extension Lectures on Agriculture delivered, Gardening and Cookery Courses, and pro- bably Courses of Instruction in Dyeing, will be given in the course of the ensuing Financial year. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Order for the further Protection of Wild Birds and their Eggs has been made by the Right Hon. C. T. Ritchie, M.P., Secretary of State, and is now in force within the County. The following are the provisions of the Order;— BIRDS. ADDITIONS TO THE SCHEDULE OF THE ACT OF 1880. II. The Wild Birds Protection Act, 1880, shall apply within the County of Cardigan to the fol- lowing species of Wild Birds in the same manner as if those species were included in the Schedule to the Act:— Kestrel, Kite, Buzzard, Peregrine Falcon, Hen Harrier, Heron, Chough, Water Ouzel. CERTAIN BIRDS protected during the whole of the year. III. During the period between the 31st day of July in any year and the 2nd day of March following, the killing or taking of the following species of Wild Birds is prohibited throughout the County of Cardigan Bittern, Buzzard, Kite, Kestrel, Gulls (except Black-backed Gull), Heron, Chough, Spoon- bill, Kingfisher, Dipper or Water Ouzel, Owls of all kinds, Woodpeckers, Goldfinch, Linnets, Woodlark, Skylark, Blackcap, Stone-Chat, Brown Wren, Golden Crested Wren.
