Marriage of Mr. A. W. T. Evans…
Marriage of Mr. A. W. T. Evans and Miss M. G. Williams. The marriage took place at St. Peter's Church, Carmarthen, on Thursday last, of Mr A W T Evans, second son of the Rev A E aid Mrs Evans, Gartbbreugy Yicarage, Brecon, and Miss May Gwendoline, youngest daughter of Mr and Mis D E WillianV, Napier House, Carmarthen. The ceremony was performed by the bride- groom's father, assisted by the Rev Parry Griffiths, vicar of St. Peter's. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple costume of ivory white corded silk, with cossage of white heather and crimson damask roses, and wore a white velvet bat trimmed with white velvet flowers. There were two small bridesmaids, Mollie Evans (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Audrey Williams (niece of the bride), who wore white embroidered French muslin dresses with sashes of pink and red chine silk carried bouquets of white heather and pink and crimson roses and also wore gold four-leaved Shamrock brooches, all the gifts of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Lieut. H B Williams, A.V.C., youngest brother of the bride (now on leave from France), and Staff-Capt. C E Williams, R.E., and Mr Gordon Williams, Welsh Horse, were also home for the occasion. During the ceremony the organist, Mr Harold Malkin, F.R.C.O., played wedding marches. After the reception Mr and Mrs Evans left for Clifton and Torquay where the honeymoon s being spent. The bride travelled in a navy [ blue costume with a navy tagel sailor hat trimmed with rose du Borri. ==
