The wnole Peal of Ten Bells ri quire re-hanging and adjusting in a proper manner. Enquiry has been made as to the best Firm to whom to entrust the work, and the Vestry has decided upon employing Messrs Taylor and Co., of Loughborough, the most renowned Bell Founders and Bell Hangers of the day. The Bells were first hung in 172G, and the names of the Ringers who rang a peal upon them are still to be seen on a board in the Belfry. It was the custom for gentlemen in the town and neighbour- hood to practice Bell Ringing in those days, and for many years afterwards. Great improvements in the morie of hanging Church Bells have been made since that time. The cost of re-hanging the Bells with all neces- sary connections will be JB150. It is also con- templated (if sufficient Subscriptions are received) to put up a new Clock and Chimes, instead of those now in use, and which urgently require renewing. The Vicar and Churchwardens have been requested by the Vestry to invite Donations for the above objects, and they feel that it only requires to be known to the Residents of the town- and neighbourhood that the fine old Peal of Bells cannot be used (for the reasons mentioned), to induce them to supply the funds necessary to put them in perfect order again. Subscriptions will be received, by either of the undermentioned Churchwardens, or at the North and iSouth Wales Bant, or the National Provincial Bank of England, Wrexham. THOS. WILLIAMS. Wlu.
