Hockey. COLWYN BAY v. OUT OX. This match was played Oil Saturday, the 14th inst, and. resulted in a win for the visitors by 4--0. Olton is one of the best Midland clubs, and they were without some of their usual eleven. They were reinforced by several from other well-known Midland clubs, and put a strong team on the ground. At the same time, the local team gave them an excellent game, which was hardly represented by the score. For the Olton team, Hooper, the goalkeeper was brilliant, and the forwards were prominent throughout. On the part of the locals, Mee did some good work. The game was pleasantly contsted throughout. COLWYN BAY v. LATCIIFORI). These teams played on the afternoon of Easter Monday, and the local club was victorious by 3 goals to 1. Though the Bay were without several of then- regular team, they were admir- ably reinforced by Douglas (Chester) and Ad- denbrook (Wolverhampton) at half-back, and J. Hampson (Chester), and tha excellence of their play largely contributed to the result. With such support the forward line were on this occa- sion very effective, J. Morris, R. E. Page, and Douglas scoring the goals, whilst the Pages on the r.ght wing combined usefully. Raynes at half-back was also clever. The visitors played a good game, and, as on Saturday, it was an en- joyable contest both to the players and to the on- lookers, who .mustered in considerable force, and lost no opportunity of manifesting their up mun I)f the ganlc.
