PENNAL. t FUNERAL.—On Saturday, September 16th, the funeral took place of the late Rev Charles Price, for hirty years rfctor of the parish. The funeral, r which was public, was a large one, and consisted of ( friends and parishioners. The coffin was of oak 1 with massive brass mountings and on the shield was engraved Charles Price, born May 11th, 1S32; died, Sept 12th, 1S99, The chief mourners were Mr R. L. Price, Rev T. R. Price, Mr J. N. Price (sons), Rev Lewis Price (bi other), Mrs Evans (sister). The sentences at the Churchyard gate and the service in Church were taken by the Rev Canon Trevor, rector of Machynlleth, the Welsh hymn: Y n y Dyfroedd Mawr a'r Tonau being sung. Mr Howell, organist of Machynlleth Church, played Chopin's Funeral March" when the funeral entered the Church, and on leaving the Dead March in Saul. The brick grave was lined with moss and white flowers, the devoted work of Mr R. Lewis, churchwarden, and Mr E. Latham, parish clerk. The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev Titus Lewis, rural (Lan, the Welsh hymn 0 Fryniau caersalem Ceir GwelEd being feelingly sung. There were snme beautiful flowers, mckiding a cross from the widow and children, which was buried also wraths from Mr and Mrs R L. Price (son and daughter-in-law) his little grandchildren the Rev Lewis Price, Pakefield Rectory, Lowestoft (brother) Mrs E ans, late Llangibby Rectory (sister) Mr and Mrs Brooachuft Brown (nephew and niece) Mr George Price. Tynyfron, Ll.nafan (brother); Major, Mr-, and the Misses Clifford Brown, Mr and Mrs John Lascelles, Mrs Dry, Miss Crampton. and others. The Bishop of Bangor was unavoidably prevented from attending the funeral, as was also Archdeacon Williams of Merioneth.
