THE APPROACHING SALE OF KILLARNEY. The Muckross Estate at Killarney is to be put up for auction in Dublin on the 21st of this month. It is said (remarks a correspondent of the Times, that the estate might have been bought some years ago for £ 30,000. During the present year the reputed price has risen by steps from E60,000 to £ 90,000. The insuranoe company which controls the sale has pro- bably been disappointed, the correspondent thinks, in the hope of selling privately at the highest point touched by its desires, and has very reasonably decided that the fairest course in the interests of all parties is to submit their estimate to the touchstone of the open market. It is pointed out that the cele- brated lakes are not entirely contained in the pro- perty now offered for sale. There are practically two great estates that command the lakes, that of the Herberts of Muckross, now in the market, and that of Lord Kenmare.
