Applicants mast be husband and wife and not more tihaii 40 years of age, and be fully competent to perform all the duties of their respective offices as prescribed by the Orders of the Local Government Board, and required by the Guardians,and must possess a knowledge of Welsh. The Master will be required to personally keep all the Books and Accounts appertaining to his office. The salary of the Master will be L30 a year, .and that of the Matron £20, together with ra- tions and furnished apartments (for the pur- poses of the Superannuation Acts the emolu- ments are valued at L26 a year each). Toe successful applicants will not be allowed to imng with them any articles of furniture. The appointments will be made subject to the approval of the Local Government Board, and subject to the Superannuation Acts. The Master will be required to give security for 2100 in some Guarantee Society approved of by the Guardians. Applications for the appointments to be made in the Applicants' own handwriting, stating age and experience and accompanied by copies of three recent testimonials, and en- dorsed "Master and Matron," and must reach me by not later than Friday, the 3rd July next. Selected candidates may have notice to at- tend a Meeting of the Board, and in which case their third-class railway fare will be paid. Canvassing directly or indirectly will dis- qualify.
