Saturday Night Concert.


Saturday Night Concert. The usual Saturday night concert was held at the Literary Society's Hall on Saturday last, when the hall had been nicely decorated by Mr Harry Roberts, a-sisted by Mr Harry Hughes. The chair was occupied by Mr W Marsden Davies, acting president of the Literary Society. The following programme was gone through :—Pianoforte solo, Miss Emy Green. Address by the Chairman. Song (encored), Miss Ada. Pritchard. Song, Master J E Jones. Recitation, Miss Gwennie Williams. Song, Miss Susie Williams. Song, Miss Jennie Davies. Violin solo, Master Vallie Bruton. Re- citation (encored), Master J Victor Evans. Song, Master Leonard Jones. Song, Miss Maggie J Thomas. Recitation (encored), Miss Kmy Green. Pianoforte solo, Miss Nellie Jones. Song, Master Hywel A Owen. Recitation (encored), Miss Kate Janaes. Song, Miss M I Davies. Competition open to children under 16 years of age. The subject was, How I should like to spend Christmas." Six competed, and all had prizes, which were given by Mr H Hugh-Jones, B. A., County School. Finale, The Rolling year," by twelve children, under the guid- ance of Miss Jaraes and Miss Marsden Davies. A vote of thanks to the chairman and artistes was proposed by Mr Norman Green, and seconded by Mr W Oliver Davies. The singing of MHen Wlad fy NhadaQ brought the meeting to a close. —This concert was the last to be held this year, but the concerts will re-oommence on the first Saturday in February.
