AS the result of an Examination to be held in the School Hall next January (1891), there will be awarded, without any religious restrictions, over Fifty Scholarships, of the aggregate value of nearly £ 700, varying from S50 each (viz., Free Board and Tuition) to £8 8s each (viz., Free Tuition), according to the age and proficiency of the candidates. THE attention of Parents is kindly called to the following uuusually exceptional list of successes gained during the past year by this school:—In the Science and Art examinations there were 71j PASSES, 44 being FIRSTS, or nearly GO per cent. Firsts. In some subjects the percentage was very much higher, as e.g. in Sound, Light, and Heat the Firsts were hundred per cent. in Physiography there were 16 FIRSTS out of 28 Passes and in Physics 11 FIRSTS out of 16 Passes. In the College of Preceptors examinations, b.ys were presented for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Classes 17 in all passed, nearly 50 per cent. in 1st Division, 35 per cent. in 2nd Division, 3 only being in 3rd Division.
