Money-order, Savings Bank, &c., business transacted on week days from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. No business in these departments on Sundays, Christmas Day, or Good Friday Telegraph business transacted on week days from 7 a m till S p.m.; and on Sundays from 7 am. till 10 am Sale of stamps and registration business from 7 a.m. tillS p,m. on week days; and 7 till 10 a.m. onay on Sundays. The attendance on the public ceases at 8 p.m on week-days; butletters and papers may be posted throughout the night. POSTAL RATES. Throughout the United Kingdom, for prepaid letters:- Not exceeding 1 la, Exceeding I oz. but not exceeding 2 oz. lid. 2 11 4 2d. A, letter posted unpaid is chargeable on delivery with double postage, and a letter posted insufficiently paid is charged double the deficiency. POST-CARDS. Post-cards, available for transmission in the United Kingdom only, are sold in packets at 7d., or of finer quality at 8d. per doz. They can also be had in smaller numbers, or singly, at Id. each. Foreign post-cards, Id. to 2d. each. POST-OFFICE TELEGRAMS. The charge for Telegrams throughout the United Kingdom is 6d for the first 12 words, including ad- difesses, and id for every additional word.
