Cricket. MOSTYN PARK v. WEASTE. The Mostyn Park Eleven met the Weaste Eleven at Mostyn Park on Saturday after- noon. The visitors had during the week been playing holiday matches in North Wales, and Saturday's fixture was the con- cluding one of the series. Bangor Universi- ty, Llandudno, Portmadoc, Llanychan, and others had been on the list. The team was in good form and played pretty cricket. Mostyn did remarkably well, and the score i y totalled much better than was at first ex- pected. E. Heggie, 17; R. A. Jones, 11; and R. Barnard, 10 (not out) were a particu- larly useful trio for the home side. Inn- ings were declared at six o'clock, when the visitors were 77 for six wickets, to 68 for Mostyn. CAMP ACCIDENTS.
CAMP ACCIDENTS. TWO LANCASHIRE "TERRIERS" BADLY INJURED. The Cheshire Brigade at Rhyl and the Lancashire Fusiliers at Prestatyn had a rough and (stormy week-end. Heavy rain fell during Saturday night, but on Sunday there was a bracing, drying wind. At each camp Divine services were held, the Non- conformists and Roman Catholics being permitted to attend their own places of worship in the towns. Two rather serious accidents occurred to members of the Lancashire force on Satur- day night. A large number of the men visited Rhyl, and there was a great crowd at the station for the last train. As the coaches were being backed into the bay a rush was made for the train before it came to a standstill. Private Edward Lambert, aged seventeen, of Salford, was pushed and fell between the footboard and the plat- form. He was so tightly wedged that a portion of the footboard had to be cut away before he could be extricated. The railway staff rendered first-aid, and he was removed in a serious condition to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, where it was found that his leg was badly crushed and his arm injured. The other accident occurred to Sergeant- Major Frederick Charles Slater, of the 7th (Macclesfield) Battalion. He was cycling I from Rhyl to camp at about midnight, and I when between Meliden and Prestatyn he was knocked down and rendered uncon- scious by an unknown motor-cyclist. He was conveyed to the camp hospital and re- > gained consciousness on Sunday morning
