We are informed by the Band Committee that there is a very large deficiency in subscriptions toward the Band Fund. We hope therefore that residents and visitors will, without further solicita- tion, come forward and contribute, so as to enable the committee to retain the services of the Band, otherwise it must be dismissed at once, which would be a serious matter for the town, the season being now at its height. On Sunday next sermons will pe preached and collections made in the Parish Church on behalf of the Tenby Parochial Schools. The sermon in the morning will be preached by the Rev. W. Osborn B. Allen, M.A. and in the evening by the Rev. G. E. Warlow, B.A., curate of St. Mary's. The services at St Julian's Church, Quay, on Sunday next, will be as follow :—Holy Communion at 8 a.m.; Matins at 11 a.m.; Evensong at 6 p.m. Our Baptist friends are surely very successful in securing the services of some of the finest preachers of England to their anniversary meetings, and Tenby people owe them something for bringing within their reach these eminent men. This year the preacher is the Rev. James Baillie, of Blooms- bury, London, the successor of the celebrated Revs. Dr. Brock and J. P. Chown, and is himself, though comparatively a young man, one of the most successful ministers and one of the most popular preachers in the Metropolis. Next Sunday Mr Baillie will preach at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Tuesday evening he will deliver a lecture on "John Knox and Mary Queen of Scots," Entries for the Tenby Cycle Sports will remain open until to-morrow, the 16th inst. Fry, Craig-y-mor; Saundersfoot. ———— A full report of Mr Gerald Bowen's marriage with Miss K. R. Russell, will appear in our next. On Sunday next, the Rev. Joseph Rhodes, precentor of the Wesleyan Conference, will preach in the Wesleyan Chapel at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. During the service Mr Rhodes will sing a solo. The United Counties Hunters Show will take place at Carmarthen on Thursday next, when cheap railway tickets will be issued from all stations. We understand that nearly 150 Hunters have been entered and that no less than 16 are in for the jumping prizes, which will consist of jumps of all sorts. Those of our residents and visitors in want of a pleasant day's outing cannot do better than attend the show. ———— A marriage, by a Captain in the Salvation Army, is announced to take place in the Wesleyan Chapel on Saturday morning next. "The re-entry of the Waldensian Church and its Lessons," will be the subject of the Rev. B. Lewis's discourse at the Presbyterian Chapel next Sunday evening. On that day the bicentenary will be commemorated, and reference to the event made in all Presbyterian places of worship. Several of the prizes to be competed for at the forthcoming Tenby Cycle Club Sports, are on view in the window of Messrs J. Merriam and Son, High Street. Amongst the competitors will be W. H. Thomas, from the Cambridge University Athle- tic Club Mr W. B. Thomas of the Oxford Univer- sity Club; J. F. Willcox, champion of the West of England; and "Charles Touch," steeplechase champion. ————— The prizes in connection with the Lawn Tennis Tournament are on view in Mr James Truscott's window, High Street. We understand that the new wing of the Tenby Young Men's Christian Association will be opened at the latter end of this month.

SAILING MATCHES. On Friday last two sailing matches, confined to trawlers fishing at Tenby, took place, the money for prizes having been collected by Mr John Gifford, junior. PRESBYTERIAN CHAPKL.-On Sunday last the members of the Presbyterian Chapel commemorated their anniversary. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. Cynddylan clones, the pastor (Rev. B. Lewis) assisting. The fame of the preacher attracted good congregations morning and afternoon, and in the evening the building was crowded. The col- lections, we are informed, compare favourably with former years.
