5*^0 THE ELECTORS OF THE BOROUGH OF BRECKNOCK 10 AND TOWN OF LLYWEL. J QENTLMEN, It now being officially announced that the 5Tesent Parliament will be dissolved on the 6th of at My, I again beg to offer myself as a Candidate rot 1 Re-Election after a service of so many years, h' My political principles have undergone no it c«atige, and the more I reflect on the sound policy Dllr8ued by Lord Palmerston and his Government, & stronger is my conviction that it has been at- ?elded with the happiest results to the nation at e'J j,arge. As y0U all know, I am a strong advocate r'1 *0r perfect and unfettered liberty of opinion action—peace and strict neutrality—with due 4 regard to the safety and interests of the Country. ;11 Already has the Chancellor of the Exchequer, to a Ie vast extent, reduced our Taxation, leaving a large $Stylus revenue at his command-holding out every « ^ospect of a still further decrease—if the existing i- Randal, Foreign and Commercial policy of the e Resent Government is steadily pursued. e. t, I have the honour to be, Gentlemen, ith sincere gratitude for the uniform kindness and confidence ever shown me, Your obedient and faithful Servant, [ LLOYD V. WATKINS. ■Brecknock, 30th June, 1865.
ITO THE ELECTORS OF THE ';COUNTY…
TO THE ELECTORS OF THE COUNTY OF BRECON. ^BNTLEMEN, »:l in a few days the present Parliament will j*? dissolved, and from the kind support you have hitherto afforded me, I venture once more to solicit suffrages, and to seek the high honor of repre- Seftting you in the next Parliament. During the last six years I have given a steady and independent support to Conservative principles, and shall continue to do so, being of opinion that the Nation is prosperous and the people con- ,ij ^nted, it would be unwise to try any organic or Evolutionary change in the Constitution—at the anle time any measure conducive to the well-being Of the people, by whatever Government proposed, receive my support. It will always be my Pleasure to support any measure beneficial to the Agricultural Interests, and in any future remission °t Taxation, to claim for the Farmers that justice ^hich has hitherto been denied them, by the re- ^ntion of the Malt tax. J I shall always vote against the Ballot. I hope before long to solicit your votes in person, to explain more'.fully than is possible, in an ad- ^ress, the sentiments that will guide my future eon- j! 'act should you dojjme the honor to elect -me^once 40re your representative. ) I have the honor to be, Gentlemen, } Your obedient Servant, GODFREY C. MORGAM. t' 39, Portman Square, j ^une 28th, 1865.
