Newport Castle" has been used as a Brewery since the early part of the present century, and the large portion of it now utilised for that purpose is held under a lease for an unexpired term of 45 years from 1st January, 1889. The whole of the premises are in good working con- dition, and the machinery aud plant are thoroughly efficient, and with slight alterations and additions the Brewery is fully capable of doubling its present out- put, which is now rapidly increasing—ttfb figures at present being over 200 Barrels per week. The Inns and Public Houses held in connection with the Brewery, necessarily command a very large trade, and practically consume the larger portion of the present output, thereby ensuring a safe and profitable trade.
