Eisteddfod at Croesgocli. On Friday evening last a very successful eis- teddfod was held at the Daptisl Clinpel of the above place but the attendance was not as large as it should have been, considering that the object of the promoters was to the building fund of the ohurch, and their eliorts deserved better appreciation. Mr J: W. Reynolds, J.P., Harry island, made a capital chairman, while the proceedings were conduct- ed iii-,iii able manner by the liev T Davies, Felinganol. The duties of adjudicators were efficiently discharged by the Rev S. Glannedd Dowen, Penuel, Cemaes (music), and Mr J. Eynon, St David's (literature).—The following was the programme and prize winners: — Duett, "V<1itin and watching ior me,' Misses H. and M. Phillips (sisters), .-(,)uartette 'O that I had wings,' Mr Tom GriiUtns, Caer- wen, and party.—Welsh reading, Mr J Lloyd, Coppt.-Teiior solo, \Vyt ti'n colio'r lloer vn codi,' Mr J. ll. Tl,,owas, ting (a prodical son to his mother), Mr Ivor Lawrence, Mathry.—Poetry to the memory of the late Mr J Griinths, schoolmaster, Croes- goch, Mr D. B. Phillips, sanitary inspector, Fishguard.—Male voice competition, 4 lu the sweet.'
