VOLUNTEER MARKER SHOT AT KNUTSFORD.— Patrick Leech, Market-place, Knutsford, was shot on Saturday afternoon while marking for the shooting of the Volunteers on Knutsford Moor. He was taken to the workhouse hos- pital, where it was found that the bullet had passed through his right leg. On account of the high rushes in the centre of the range the man who fired the shot was unable to see the danger signal which Leech displayed at the side of the target.
