Ruabon Education- Committee. Monday, present Mr Christmas Jones (in the chair), the Rev W B Jones, Messrs* R A Jones, p L Ptice, J S Jones, G Beck- ett, C Morgan. S Galllandj, J T Share- Jones, J Garside and K Wycrne, with Mr E Jenkins, clerk. The following attendance returns were presented for the month Rhos district (Mr A A Roberts), percentage 81 last tyear, 80. Ruabon district (Mr Eben Pritchard), percentage 85.3; 84. Cefn district (Mr John Evans), percentage 82. r last year, 86. All the attendance officers reported that the attance was seriously affected by a severe epidemic of measles. It was also reported that several of the schools, particularly the infants' depart- ments, had been closed by order of the Medical Officer.-A discussion took place as to the policy of closing schools, and a depulation was appointed to meet the Medical Offioer. It was decided to circularise the church- es of the district asking the officers to ar- range outings for the same day or during the month of August, when the schools were closed.
