DAMAGES MORE THAN CLAIM. At the Bloorasbury County-court an applica- tion was made in respect of a esse in which a coachman who sued Lord Eesiduorough was award-ed £ 100 damages for injuries sustained in an accident in which his lordship's motor-ear was concerned. The amount of his claim ( £ 50) had, in accord- ance with the practice, not been stated to the' jury, and counsel argued that the amount awarded/was excessive.
