BABY'S DEATH FROM STARVATION. Remarkable evidence was given on Tuesday jftt an inquiry at Lambeth concerning the Ac,ati-I of Cornelius Michael Cooper, aged ight months, whose parents live at Lower Marsh, Lambeth. Although her children had not had sufficient :food they did not apply for parish relief, not knowmg how to go about it. The coroner remarked that the mother did •Jiot present the appearance associated with ."I.;t'ant of nourishment, Dr. Quarry said that was so, adding that the child could not have been fed for a con- siderable time before it was brought to the infirmary.
