SALVATION ARMY SETTLERS. .j¡. Commissioner T. B. Coombs, the Salvation Army's chief representative in Canada, who is at present in this country, has completed the details of the new colonisation scheme. The schema is modelled en the Army's suc- cessful settlement at Tisdalfl, Saskatchewan. The new venture is in the neighbouring pro- vince of Alberta, and will covor ia area twice the size of Tisdale Settlement. The first selec- tion of families is already being rapidly com- pleted, forty households having been provided for as a beginning, and holdings of eighty acres each have been allotted to each man. The land is now being prepared, but the chosen families are not expected till May, 1910. They will then find rough houses: readiness for them, with barns attached for the reception of farm stock and implements.
