£ 5,000 JEWEL ROBBERY. Mrs. Kenneth Wilson, of Little Tranby, Beverley, Yorks, was the victim of a mys- terious robbery at ICing's-cross on Saturday, by which she lost a jewel-case containing a rope of Oriental pen is with diamond fasten- ing, a pair of gold-backed brushes, silver photo frames, several trinkets, and other articles, of a total.value of JZ5.QDQ. A maid left the house in Grosvenor-place in a cab, and the' 'îè,vel-C'!tse was then safe ¡ with her. On arriving at King's-cross Station she arranged with a porter to take the luggage to the platform- He lifted it from the cab into a waiting-room, and then departed to fetch a barrow. By the time he returned the maid, in examining the items of lug'gage, had noticed that the jewel-case was not among them, and forthwith in- formed the police.
