CORRESPONDENCE. EVENING SCHOOLS IN CARNAR VONSHIRE To the Editor. Sir,—The Education Committee are unable to conduct the ordinary Evening Schools during the ensuing is-ession. They have, however, given the Staff Committee aitboirdty to receive and rep-oat upon application for the recogni- tion, under the Board of Education Evening School Regulations, of Choral Classes, Literary Classes, Art Classes, and Classes in Technical subjects (Woodwork, Needlework, Cookery, Shorthand, Typewriting, and Book-keeping)., Applications should be received by August 31st, and should; stafe (a) Subject of instruction, j (b) Approximate' average attendance for the session. (c) Approximate number of hours of in- struction during the session. (d) Name of proposed teacher. In the case, of Choral and Literary Societies if Classes were held last year, a copy of the Balance Sheet should be submitted with the application.—Yours, etc., E'VAN R. DAVIES.
