From Deganwy, up the beautiful river Conway to Trefriw, per steamer. From West Pier (Conway Bay), Llandudno, pei Queen of the Conway," to Tal-y-Cafn and Trefriw. COACHES AND BRAKES. To Little Orme's Head, returning past Gloddaeth Hall, through Llanrhoe village and back (6 miles). The renowned Marine Drive round the Great Orme's Head (5. miles). To Conway (4 miles) Trefriw and Bettws-y-Coed, for the Fairy Glen and Swallow Falls (19 miles) To Conway, along the Old Ooaeh Road, and through the rugged Sychnant Pass and Dwygyfylchi village to Penmaenmawr (11 miles) returning along the sea coast. Mostyn), through the homestead, returning through Llanrhos village (7 miles in all) or contiuue from Bodysgallen Hall to Marie Hall, to Llandudno J llnctien thence through Deganwy, past the Deganwy Castle Hotel, across the gorse covered fields through Maesdu Farm to Llandudno, emerging near the Cottage Hospital (I miles in all) BY COACH OR TRAIN. CONWA.-Visit the ancient Castle, theiWalls,*and Plas Mawr (Elizabethan Palace). TALYCAFN—Cross the Bridge, walk over the mountain to Llanfairfechan or Aber. LLANRWST and TREFRIW (reached by coach from LIpKTwst). Trefriw is a beautifully situated village, with charming mountain scenery. Visit the chalybeate wells, a short distance beyond the Belle Vue Hotel. Visit Llanrhychwyn old church, believed to be the oldest in Wales, also lakes Crafnant and Geirionydd, Gwydr Castle and Woods. FESTLNIOG.—Large Slate Quarries here. Take the famous Narrow Guage or Toy Railway from here down the Vale of Maentwrog to Portmadoc. PENMAENMAWR and LLANFAIRFECHAN — Seaside resorts, with fine mountains close at hand, also Dwygyfylchi Fairy Glen. ABES.—Grand mountaineering centre. Visit Aber trails. Charming spot for picnics. BANGOR—Cathedral town beautifully situatad on Menai Straits. MENAI BRIDGE—Walk across the stupendous Chain Bridge over the Straits dividing Carnarvonshire from Anglesea. CARNARVON—County town. Grand old Castle. LLANBERIS—The ascent of Snovrdon should be made by the Snowdon Mountain Tramroad which starts from Llanberis and runs to the very summit. N.B.— j Descend from the summit o*x southern slope to Snow- don Station, and take trean back to Carnarvon per; North Wales Narrow G"„age Railway. HOLYHEAD.—Embark here for Ireland. AMLWCH.—Quiet seaside resort. Splendid sea- board and beantifuJ bay. COLWYN BAT and BHYL-Seaside resorts CHESTER—Very ancient walled city, well worth a day's visit. MOUNTAIN WALKS. BaLtu.e over the Great Orme's Head (670 feet). From CONWAY, over Conway mountain down through the Sychnant Pass via Fairy Glen to Penmaen- mawr (2. hours). Past Saw Mills, through over Talyfan Mountain (iOOO feet), thence to Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan or Aber. Along the old Sychnant Pass road, leaving it at Mr. Stott's Crow Nest,' over the hill. past the ancient Druids' circle, tkence ascend Penmaenmawr Mountain and through Sett Quarries to Llanfairfechan. (Ladies should avoid the Quarries). Frbm PENMAENMAWR—Ascend Penmaenmawr Mountain (1,500 feet), return or descend the other side to Llanfairfechan. From TALYCAFN—Cross the Bridge through the village of Roewen, over the hill, keeping south of Talyfan Mountain, through Bwlch-y-Ddeufaen Pass (14.00 feet) to Llanfairfechan, or continue walk and descend to Aber. Cross the Bridge, turn sharp to the left, pass Caerhan Church, Llanbedr village (enquire here for Llyn Dill; n), thence up the valley, a very hillv walk to Llvvi Duly n, one of the most romantically sit aaUl lakes in \V aJe. and from whence the splendia water is supplied by a pipe line to Llandudno. FROM LL.VKPAIUFECHAK — Ascend Foel Fras (3.000 ft.,) descend southern side to Llyn Dulyn (the source of Llandudno's water supply), proceed east along mountain path to the Village of Llanbedr, thence to Talycafn. Train home. N.B.—Any of these walks may be reversed. They can all be traversed during the course of a summer's Sbternoon and evening, except the tmr tost, for which a whole day should be taken. I
