Wooed Death in Sleep. MAX RESTS NEAR ROARIXG FIRE AND EXPLOSIVES. On Saturday morning a roadman in the em- ploy of the County Council observed smoke riSling horn a hut erected on the Crimean Moun. tain, Dolwyddelen, for the purpose of storing explosives. He informed P.C. FN-ans, Dolwyddelen, who proceeded to the spot and found the lock of the hut smashed. On opening the door he dis- covered John Roberts, a native of Festiniog, lying on the floor in front of a roaring fire fast asleep. In close proximity to the fire was a considerable quantity of black powder used for blasting operations, also gelatine, caps, and detonators. Roberts was arrested by the officer, and was Ferit.nc,ed to one month s imprisonment with hu.rd labour at the Bettws-v-Coed Sessions on Monday.

Denbighshire Hussars. Nominally, this year's training of the Den- bighshire Hussars will take place at Caerwvs actually, a (goodly portion of the fortnight will be spent in a grand "trek-" through North Wales.
