GENTLEMEN, p 't sire to convey my heartfelt thanks to my orters in West Denbighshire who on Fri- day last achieved such a magnificent triumph for the Catê, of Liberalism. I cannot express in words my appreciation of the devoted and enthusiastic service of my friends throughout the constituency in this ever-memorable fight, and I know that innumerable deeds of sacrifice for principle done on that day were out of siaht and will remain unrecorded. Great were the issues at stake, and West Den- bighshire with no uncertain voice, has spoken its mind upon them through a victory unsurpassed in the political annals of the county. To receive in so full a measure the confidence of such a constituency is the highest honour which could be conferred upon me, and it will be my pri- vilege to continue to work in Parliament and out of it for the principles of my political faith, which, realised in the life of the people, I believe to be essential to the welfare of the nation. It will also be a plpasure to me to promote to the utmost of my ahility the general interests of the constituency. Believe me to be, Your faithful servant, J. HERBERT ROBERTS. Bryngwenallt, Abergele.
