Incorporated Society of Musicians. At the local examination in music held at Cardiff, Saturday, July 3rd, the fol- lowing pupils of Mr. J. T. Jones, L.R.A.M., Treorchy, were successful: Grade IV. Arthur J. Morgan, Pentre. Grade III. David Williams, Treherbert; and M. E. Breeze, Cwmparc. Preparatory Grade: Ben Arthur and Bertie Jones. Treorchy; and Richard Meredith, Cwm- parc. At the recent examination held by the Incorporated Society of Musicians at Car- diff, Irene Griffiths, Tonyrefail, passed the Fifth Grade (Higher Advanced). At Car- diff, on July 8th, Arthur W. Thomas, of Williamstown, passed the Associate Exami- nation of the London College of Music (A.L.O.M.); and Thomas Martin Jones, of Tylorstown, obtained a Senior Honours Certificate and Silver Medal. The above were coached by Mr. A. M. Setter, of Lhvynypia. At the Incorporated Society of Musicians examinations held at Cardiff on July 2nd, the following pupils of Mr. David Lloyd, organist and choirmaster, St. Andrew's Church, Llwynypia, were successful — Grade V. (Higher Advanced): Miss E. Arthur, Ely View, Tonyrefail. Grade III. (Intermediate): Miss Queenie Fell, Foun- dry House, Trealaw. Preparatory Grade: Master Stanley Haines, Primrose Street, Tonypandy.
