THERE IS VERY LITTLE HOPE BUT tRY TUDOR WILLIAMS' PATENT BALSAM OF HONEY which contains PURE Welsh Honey and an essence of the purest and most efficacious Herbs, gathered on the Hills of Wales, being gathered in the proper season, when its virtues are in full perfection. It is invaluable for woak-chested men, delicate women, and children. It cures when all other remedies fail. It cures Coughs, Colds, Asthma, Tightness uf the jhellt. It cures thousands of children of Bronchitis and Whooping Cough. It cures for One Shiilingwhen Pounds have been spent in vain. TRY IT If you have a Gvugb, try it; if you have a Cold, try it. It loosens the phlegm and promotes expectora- tion, produces warmth and comfort to the chest, and gives refreshing sleep when you have lost nights of rest. ——— June 11th, 15)02. DEAR Sir,-I wish to acknowledge my gratitude to you for the relief I have received from using your Tudor Williams' Balsam of Honey. For n.ore than two years I have been a great sufferer from Colds and Coughs, in fact, my life was quite a burden to me; with pains all over my Chest. I have had three bottles of your Balsam of Honey, and am grateful to say that I am cured-can go on with my performance with pleasure. Shall highly recommend it to otheis. You can use this testimonial ab you like. I am. yours faithfully, F. CIIIRGWIN, Comic Clown, -—— Blackburn. IS SOMETHING MARVELLOUS. A BAG OF LETTERS IN EVERY DAY, and what they say about Tudor Williams' Balsam of Honey is something marvellous. SEVERE CHRONIC BRONCHITIS, combined with Asthma and Heart Affection (8 years'standing), CURED I have been under doctors for 8 years. They did not do me any lasting good. When I beg.vii your treatment I was at my very worst. My breathing was very bad. I had to sit up in bed all night, and my cough was so hard I could not cough up anythiug. In the daytime I was worse. I used to get such fits of perspiration and afterwards turn quite cold. I was always catching fresh colds. I am now able to sleep at nights, and when I rise up in the morning am able to do my work with ease. Mrs. JACKSON. Sea View, Southpoit. I WORTHY OF YOUR CONSIDERATION. SiB,-My wife desires me to say that your Tudor Williams' Balsam of Honey nas proved a most valuable medicine in our large family (eight children). As soon as a cough or cold makes its appearance, a dose of Tudor's Balsam is it once administered, and this treatment is followed up until the cold dis- appears. Before using the Balsam in nur family the children have been prostrate with colds for several weeks, but now, by taking doses as directed, they seem to Ruffer very little inconvenience. During the short time the cold is upon them, the ction of the Balsam is marvellous, and the little ones take it readily and ask for more.—WALTER J. BRETT, C.M Headmaster, Severn Tunnel School. BALSAM OF HONEY AT THE ROYAL NATIONAL BAZAAR. When it was decided to have a Welsh Stal at the National Bazaar in aid of the sufferers by the War, Mr. D. TUDOR WILLIAMS offered the Hon. NURSE DARLING, NURSE HOME, KIMBERLEY. Tudor Williams's Patent Balsam of Honey you kindly forwarded to the front, I am pleased to be able to say that I have found it most beneficial to my patients and self. In one case I attended a private soldier, a native of Gloucesiershire. He had beec wounded in the chest. He had 11 troublesome cough. He asksd for Tudor Williams's Balsam of Honey. I was surprised at the wonderful effect it had on the poor fellow soothing the nasty cough and promoting free expectoration—thus promptly clearing the bronchial tube and air vessels or the accumulated mucous. He was coming up Parade-road on Monday, when he overheard a lady discussing the accident to the steam roller. Here we are," she said, The reform has started already. Those three new fellows that we put in have commenced their reforms; here's this old engine smashed for a start, and if it was not for this tone at thp. corner, they would have cleared this house away." ENGLISH CONGREGATIONAL CHUIICH GUILD.— At a meeting of the above Guild held last Monday evenin g Mr W. JONES, INVERCARGILL, NEW ZBALAND,—It is with sincere regret we have to chronicle the death at Invercargill, New Zealand, of Jeannie, the beloved wife of Mr E. Bevan Jones, chemist (eldest son of the late Mr Dan Jones, weaver, St. Catherine-street, Carmar- then), which occared on the 10th September logs, at a comparatively early age, of rapid consump- tion. The greatest sympathy is felt with Mr Jones and his five young children in their sad bereave- ment. Mr Jones has been a constant subscriber to the Reporter since he left Carmarthen, some 25 years ago. ENGLISH BAPTISTS.—At the close of the sermon last Sunday evening, the Rev A Fuller Mills referred in very feeling terms to the death of one of his predecessors as pastor of the church-the Rev T Thomas, Goodshaw, a reference to which appeared in our last issue, "nda vote of sympathy and condolonce with the widow jand children was unanimously passed, and & repuest to the pastor to convey it to them.—Next Wednesday, Gustandce Dorsie, a student of Bishop Gobat's School, Mount Zion, and a native of Jerusalem, will lecture at the English Baptist Chapel on the manners and customs of his country. He is the son of Mr Oliver Jones, the genial L. and N. W. stationmaster, and is quite a chip of the old block," as he is of a kind and genial disposition, and was very popular and highly esteemed by the gtaff. He left by the 10.20 express on Monday morning, amidst the cheers snd good wishes of a large number of his colleagues and friends. We wish Mr Jones every success. SAD DEATH.—We regret to announce the death of Miss Elizabeth Victoria Lloyd, second daughter of Mr Walter Lloyd, chemist, Carmarthen. The deceaeed, who would have been 15 years of age on the 20th intt, had for some time suffered from exophthalmic goitre, but it was only on Monday that she took to her bed. Her condition was recognised as dangerous on Saturday, and in spite of all that could be done, she expired 001 Monday about midday. The greatest sympathy is felt with the parents in their affliction, for the deceased was a bright promisihg young girl. The funeral which will be private takes place on Friday at 3 p.m. DEATH OF MR. THOMAS WILLIAMS, LATE PRUDENTIAL SUPERINTENDENT AT CARMARTHEN. -We regret to announce the death of Mr Thomas Williams, Bupeiintendent of the Prudential Assurance Co. for the Merthyr district, which took place on Friday last. Mr Williams was well known in Carmarthen, where he had been super- intendent for thirteen or fourteen years. He was a faithful member of Lammas-Btreet Church. Some three years ago he was appointed to the important part of superintendent at Merthyr. He died of pneumonia after a few days' illness, being then in his 52nd year. He leaves a widow and several children to mourn his loss. The funeral took place on luesday at the Carmarthen Cemetery, the deceased being interred with his first wife. The Rev D Evans and the Rev Professor D E Jones officiated. The funeral was well attended by frieudB from the Merthyr district. ENGLISH BAPTIST CHURCH, CAKMARTHBN.—A social gathering was held at the above piace on Thursday, the 7th inst., when a large number of the members were present to partake of the good things provided. The tables were beatifully laid out and decorated, while the following ladies presided :-Mrs Morgan, Blue-street; Nurse Davies and Nurse Jones, Infirmary f Miss K Jones, Quay- ntreet Miss Davies, Boksburg Hall Miss Nellie Philiips, Dark Gate, and Miss Davies, Quay. Tea being over, there was yet another treat in store for those present, in the form of a micellaneous concert. Each item was admirably rendered, and those who took part deserve every praise for the able manner in which they carried out their task. The officials are to be congratulated for being the means of bringing about such an enjoyable and pleasant evening. The usual vote of thanka terminated the meeting. THE GREAT EVENT OF THE SEASON.—Many of our readers will be delighted to hear that we are to have a return visit of the famous Leon Vint Pictorial and musical organisation (Nc. 1 Coy.) to the Assembly Rooms next week. The Company have had a continuous Tour of Triumph" through the British Isles, visiting the principal towns and creating quite a furore in them all. It ie no exaggeration to sty that the elaas of entertain ment, given by Mr. Vint and his Company of talented and versatile artistes is undoubtedly the most popular uxUuli, Siaaii Is the word, for the programme is coutinuous-not a moment's wait from the opening overture to the National Anthem. Here we cannot do better than quote from one of the many laudatory press notices recently given to this justly celebrated organisa- tion Although well into the third week of their season at the Town Hall, Standing Room Only is ati'il the cry each night long before the great clock makes known the hour of eight. Well might this be so, for such a combination of talent has never before been seen within these historic walls. Words have an insignificance, they cannot adequately describe one's admiration and surprise at this marvellous entertainment, charming music, bewitching faces, amazing mystery and delightful scenes. The cares of the day fade under the spell of these diverse influences like a dream that passes with tho advent of the morning's light. The monotony of every day life is charmed away as with the interlude of song and story we are whirled as in a lightning yoked chariot, from scene to scene, Madame Vint, aptly styled "The Empress of Mystery," is the bright particular star of the evening. In the pastern Dream her revelations are phenomenally astounding, rapturously and enchantingly mystifying. Each itena given ie followed by hearty laughter or tumultuous applause." Our readera should not fail to see this colossal enterprise. A remarkable combination of the Artistes', Klectrician 8 and Entrepreneur's best efforts, Refinement and exquisite taste pervades the whole cf the entertainment. Some idea of the almost inexhaustible resources of the Company may be gained from the fact that during their atity in a town they give an entire change of programme every evening. °
