Jan. 22/07 CERTIFICATE OF QUALITY & PURITY. I am duly in receipt of a loaf of bread from Messrs Williams & Co., 2 Queen Street, Rhyl, and after exhaustive examination an analyses have great pleasure in certifying that I find it to be- (I) Of very excellent general quality. (2) Particularly digestable, nutritious and of good flavour. (3) Skilfully and carefully manufactured from the best materials throughout. (4) Worthy both dietatically and commercially, the higest current price of the day, being relatively cheaper than so called cheap, but inferior qualities sometimes supplied, (5) Absolutely pure and worthy of the highest recommendation to those who desire good health and who too often forget that the best and most desirable materials cannot be sold by anyone at the same price as those of lower quality, and finally (6), to be, as already indicated of such high quaity as would obtain distinction at any bread exhibition or competition. The investments are of a marketable value in access of the amount standing in the balance sheet. The premises, owing to the amounts written oft from time to time, stand, we believe, at far less than their value, and the fittings and f urniture have been wholly written off. The provision for bad and doubtful debts and contingencies largely exceeds the amount estimared to be at present required. The officers pension and gratuity fund, amounting to £ 161,295 os 4d, is included with the current deposit and other accounts. Subject to these remarks, in our opinion the balance sheet is properly drawn up so as to exhibit a true and correct view of the state of the company's affairs as shewn by the books of the Company.
