CARDIFF RAILWAY^BILL. Om Saturday evening, a public meeting, pre- sided over bv Councillor Eli Jenkins, was held at the Tail's Well School to consider the above Bill. Th-a first resolution was proposed by Mr John Thomas, seconded by Mr Tom Ed- wards, and supported by Councillor Alfred Jones, and was to the effect that "this meeting approves of and strongly supports the scheme promoted by the Cardiff Railway Company." ThIs was resolution was carried. Mr Evan Phillips, Dynevor Arms, proposed, and Mr Daniel Thomas,' Cross Keys, seconded, "that the chairman be requested to forward a copy of this resolution to the promoters of tho Bill." This also was carried. A third re- solution was passed, proposed by Mr G. Mill- ward and seconded by Mr William Jenkins, "rhat the meeting recommends and requests the Caerphilly Urban District Council to petition m favour of the Bill." A vote of thanks to tho chairman concluded the meeting.
