After taking a very few of them I found my agony sensibly diminished, and after having finished a box and a half my dreadful complaint < was altogether removed. For this I shall ever feel myself eteinallygrateftil to you, and I hereby authorise you to make what use of this letter you please, either in advcr- tising in Liverpool where I am well known, or elsewhere. Believe me to b e' Your ever grateful and obedient servant, "HENRY LAWRENCE." "No. 18, Elvet Row, Newcastle on Tyne, Jan. 23,1S37. 11 Sl R-Haviiig of late years been afflicted with a painful disease in my hip joints, I hope you will allow ineto state the symptoms of my case, and the wonderful efficacy of your Pills; and at the same time I beg leave to inform you that you may give every publicity to my statement. I am 46 years of age, and the father of a numerous family. Up to August in 1828 I had enjoyed tolerable good health, but was latterly attacked by a very irksome pain in my right leg. In December the same year my other leg was attacked in the same way, so that I could not walk or pursue my usual business, which is that of a surveyor. I had, until June in last year, ex- pended large sums in doctor's bills, but without any relief. At last I was recommended to try your invaluable Balsamic Pills. I began with taking three pills every evening, bnt increased it to six afterwards, finding the effect so beneficial. I continued this course till last November, at which time I felt perfectly i-cuovated in my constitution, which was much impaired, and am now able to resume my usual occupation. I therefore remain, Sir, tendering to you my most humble thanks for the benefit I have received from your medicinc, Your most obliged and humb'e servant. "JOHN T. ELLISON." "To Mr M. O. Wray. 118, Holborn Hill, London." These Pills having been employed in upwards of 1,800 cases in private practice within tbrpe years prior to being advertised, in many thousand cases since, and in no one instance known to fail, are strongly recommended as the only safe and efficacious remedy in present use in all stages of those disorders, and entirely obviating the necessity of having recourse to those disgusting, nauseous, and in many C¡¡<cs highly injurious medicines, as Cubebs and Copaiba; the dangerous results of the latter in the inflammatory stages are too well known to need an) comment. Prepared only by M. O. Wray, and sol,\ wholesale and retail at No. 118 Holborn Hill; and at the West end Depot, 9, Agar Street, Strand, opposite Charing Cross Hospital; also by Edwardf, 67, St. Paul s Church Yard Messrs Barclay and Sons, 95, Farringdon Street Butler, 4, Cheapside Sutton and Co., No. 10, Bow Church Yard and retail by Johnston, 68, Cornhill; Sanger, 150, Oxford Street Lowe and Hornblower, 47, Blackfri&rs Road and by all respectable patent medicine venders In Town and Country, at 2s. 9d. 4s. 6d., and Us. each box. Sir,—t have made seyeial trials of the Ointment which you sent ine. I have found it useful in some instances I am more inclined to employ those of which I know the composi- tion, than I ain to employ Signor Aibinoio's Ointment, the composition of which you have not informed me. Sir,—I am much obliged to you for your polite offer to send me more of the Ointment, which I tried at Mr Holloway's request, I really have kept no note of it, effects beyond what my communication to Mr Holloway contained. In a few caes of skin disease it was serviceable. The best case I had of its efficacy was one of scrofulous tubercles, on the face of a child, which mended rapidly with it.—19, George Street, Hanover Square. I am. &c, August 29. 1837. PERRY'S PURIFYING SPECIFIC PILLS, price 2s.9d., 4s. 6d.and 11 s. per Box,are well known throughout Europe and America, to be tbe most certain and effectual cure ever discovered for every stage and symptom of the Venereal Disease, in both sexes, including Gonorrhasa, Gleets, Secondary Symptoms, Strictures, Seminal Weak- ness, Deficiency, and all the Diseases of the Urinary Passages, without loss of time, confinement, or hind- rance from business they have effected the most sur- prising cures, not only in recent and severe cases, but when salivation and all other means have failed and when all early application is made to these Pills for the cure of the Venereal Disease, frequently contracted in a moment of inebriety, the eradication is generally com- pleted in a few days; and in the more advanced and inveterate stages of venereal infection, characterized by a variety of painful and distressing symptoms, a perse- verauce in the Specific Pills, and to the directions fully pointed out in the Treatise, will ensure to the patient a permanent and radical cure. It is a melancholy fact that thousands fall victims to this horrid disease, o ving to the unskilftilness of illiterate men, who by the use of that deadly poison, mercury, ruin the constitution, cause ulceration, blotches on the head, face, and body, dimness of sight, noise in the ears, deaf- ness, obstinate gleets. nodes on the shin bones, ulcerated sore'throats, diseased nose, with nocturnal pains in the head and liml s, till at length a general debility and de- cay of the constitution ensues, and a melancholy death puts a period to their dreadful sufferings. In those dreadful cases of sexual debility, brought on by an early and indiscriminate indulgence of the passions, frequently acquired without the knowledge of the dread- ful consequences resulting therefrom, and which not only entail on its votaries all the enervating imbecilities of old age, and occasion the necessity of renouncing the felicities of marriage to those who have given way to this delusive and destructive habit, but weaken and destroy all the bodily senses, producing melancholy, deficiency, and a numerous train of nervous affections. In these distressing cases, whether the consequence of such baneful habits, or any other cause, a certain and speedy cure may be re- lied on by taking Perry's Purifying Specific Pilis, and by a strict attention to the directions pointed out in the Treatise, which fully explains the dreadful results arising from these melancholy cases. Messrs Perry and Co. Surgeons, may be consulted as usual at No. 4, Great Charles Street, Birmingham, and 23, Slater Street, Liverpool. Only one personal visit is et, required from a country patient, to enable Messrs Perry and Co. to give such advice, as will be the means of effecting a permanent and effectual cure, after all other means have proved ineffectual. Letter* for advice must be post paid, and contain the usual fee of one pound. Sold by the principal Medicine Sellers in every Market Town in England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland also on the Continent, and North and South America. N.B.
