The following is her My Lords and Gentleman, We are commanded by tier Majesty to acquaint you tiiat it appears advisable to her Majesty to bring- to a rlose the present Session of Parliament. In conformity with the advice of her Parliament, and in pursuance of the declared intentions of her Majesty, her Majesty has taken the requisite mea- sures for the formation of a New Administration, and the arrangements for that purpose have been com- pleted by her Majesty. Gentlemen of the House of Com mons, We have it in command from her Majesty to thank you for the Supplies which you have granted to her )Iajesty for those branches of the public service for which complete provision had not been made by the late Parliament. My Lords and Gentlemen, The measures which it will be expedient to adopt for the purpose ol equalising the Public Income and the Annual Expenditure, and other important objects connected with the Tratle and Commerce of the country will necessarily occupy your attention at an early period alter the Recess. Her Majesty has commanded us to repeat the ex- pression of her deep concern at the distress which has prevailed for a considerable period in some of the principal manufacturing districts, and to assure you that you may rely upon the cordial concurrence of her Majesty in all such measures as shall appear, after mature consideration, best calculated to prevent the recurrence ot that distress, and to promote the great object of all her Majesty's wishes—the happiness and contentment ol her people."

The Tartar garrison evacuated the city 011 the 5th of June. The English have again occupied Hong Kong.

J_ FUNERAL OF THE MARCHIONESS OF BUTE. (From the Cambridge Chronicl.) On Tuesday,Sept. 21st, in the parish church of Kit tling, in this county, the remains of Iaria North, Marchioness of Bate, were deposited in a vault belongirw to the North familv, which had not been opt tied for the reception of any corpse for upwards of 150 years. Below we give an extract from a letter from Cowlinge, near Newmarket, dated Sep. 22nd, 11:>11 Yesterday was a mournful day in the adjoining parish ( in consi quence. of the funeral of the late lamented Marchioness of Bute, v. ho was brought fr lint YVnliner, where she died, to be inteneo in the vault of the North family. "In the vault whirl. wa li¡h:ed up with wax candles, I noticed several coffins containing the remains of her ladyship's ancestors, from the year 1554, downwards. At Saxon street, t herew as a great number of persons assembled to witness the mournful ceremony which increased as the procession moved on in an amazing degree, and on reaching the church yard, it seemed as if nearly the whole population of Kirtling and Ashley (where her ladyship's estates are situate) were got together, and also an immense concourse of person ■! from the adjoininsr parishes, of the yeomanry and their families, and particularly >>f the poor, insomuch that the clitircli, a large one, would not hold them all. Every person present, the poor in particu^r, shewed a sincere sorrow for the loss they had sustained in such a benefactress and well they might, for ever since her ladyship came to these estates, their comfort and welfare has been her chief consideration. The farm tenants, from the liberality and kindness thev have always -experienced from the late Marchioness and his lordship, were fully impressed with the extent of the loss that they had sustained. "The mannerin which all the melancholy arrange- ments were conducted by Mr Spain, of Deal, the undertaker, were highly creditable to hi.n. I understand that her ladyship havintr expressed a wish to build some almshouses in the parish, his Lord- ship lia; declared his intention of having them erected forthwith."

To the Editor of the Advertiser and Guardian SIR,—Your remarks on the ;,bore subject in yotif columns of the 2nd instant, induces iiic to express my surprise that it has been suffered to remain so long unnoticed. In these days of science and of song," when the Divine art of music is so much cultivated,—when we read the accounts of the intro- duction of that noble instrument, into the country Churches* in the hitherto uncultivated wilds of our mountain land," and when we hear, in the differ- ent towns and cities through which we pass, the soul-stirring sounds of the pealing organ," ascend- ing forth from so many small dissenting places of worship, it is certainly a matter of regret, and carries the appearance of great apathy and a want of true devotional spirit on the part of those connected with her, that our venerable Cathedral Church, the foun- tain-head of the diocese, should have so long lacked this great addition to her beautiful services. It is now, I believe, nearly a century ago since an ancestor of the present ancient family of Cern Mablv> in this county, presented the Cathedral with r.U organ, and if there be not to be found in the present day one individual, possessed of the means, princely- minded enough to follow so good an example, perhaps an appeal to the many may have the desired elfeet. I have heard the salary of an orgatiwt put forth as an objection against having an instrument, but surely the spirit, both of the many rev. gentlemen connected with the Chapter, and of the resident gentry and others attached to the establishment, would not suffer so trifling an impediment to stand in the way. If I may be allowed to suggest the means, I should say a small annual subscription from each would suffice to remove that objection. In the event of a subscription being set on foot, I shall feel great pleasure in contributing my mite either towards the instrument, or for a person to perform upon itt or indeed to both if necessary. You, Sir, have kindled a spark which I have thus humbly endeavoured to fan into a flame. I shall now leave the subject and trust it will be taken up by some one more competent to the task, and hoping the flame may go on increasing until it be extin- guished only by the attainment of the desired object. To the Editor of the Advertiser and Guardian. ,Si it, I n the report of the investigation which took place last week, with respect to the melancholy acci- dent at the Penydarren Iron Works, there appeared as part of the verdict of the jury what 1 consider it to he a duty to myself and family to prove erroneouSt and this I do without imputing the conclusion they arrived at to anything more in them than they judged to have been betrayed by me, namely, ignorance'' ■Nothing can be more satisfactorily proved than that I had on the day on which this awlul accident oc- curred, done all that I am required to do, and had found nothing wanting as far as there was a possibility of ascertaining by me, who am continually going from engine to engine and cannot without being actu dly present at each of them, know whether th« supply of water is at every moment what it ought to he. I fence it is evident that my care alone cannot render it impossible for accidents to occur, and that 1 can be answerable only for the condition of the engine at the times ol actual inspection, between which in- tervals must occur in which neglect, or ignorance, 01 both, may produce what I am by no means answer- both, may produce what I am by no means answer- able for. The City of Hereford Eicetion took plice 011 Monday morning last, when R. Pulsford, Esa., young and unknown man was elected. He was* op* posed by E. G. Griffiths l-sq, but who did not make 11 personal canvass. Mr Puisfords majority was 145 which is 45 less than that obtained by Mr Hobhotf** at the last Flection. Mr Griffiths the polled only 12 votes less than Mr Burr did on the saiH3 occasion. This shows a groat Conservative re-acti"11 in Hereford, a city which we trust will soon liil/O another Tory member in the House of Commons. The fairs last week, in Pembrokeshire, viz., PerJJ broke, Haverfordwest & Narberth, went off with great spirit; cattle realized good prices, as manifested bf the following anecdote —One farmer meeting fxnothCj enquired —'• what kind of cattle was iu demand-" His friend replied, "he could not indeed tell what particular kind was required, for the dealers were buying all sorts." GLAMORGANSHIRE. <To lir Het, AND ENTERKO ON IMMEDIATELY, ALL that COLLIERY and COAL WORK, com- monly known by the name of the RHYGOS COLLIERY, situate and beinz at RHYGOS, in the i-la, isli of YSTRAD Y FOOWG, in the County of GLAMORGAN, with all the Machinery and Ap- paratus used or employed in working the same. The above Coal Field comprises an area of several hundred acres of Land, and contains Six workable Beds or Strata of Coal, varying from Three to Eighteen Feet in Thickness; some of the lowest of which are of the Anthracite description. The nine feet Vein has lately been found to be of a superior quality. An extensive Range has recently been opened upon it at the Baily Glaes Farm. A great quantity of Coal might be obtained from this ( olliery at a cheap rate of working, and there are re¡¡t facilities of conveyance of the produce by Tram Roads to the heads of the Neath and Aberdare Canals; from the former of which the Colliery is distant Two and a half miles only. There is a considerable Stock at the Colliery, consisting of Tram Waggons, Tram Plates, Weigh- ing Machine, &c. Also a number of new Canal Barges adequate to an extensive Trade, which might either be included in the letting or taken at a valuation. A Coal Wharf, eligibly situated, at Britton Ferry, with all the necessary conveniences thereon, would also be let with the Colliery. Mr BARING complained with some bitterness of thestatement made on Monday evening by the Duke ol W ellington, that, the public accounts had been left i" so imperfect a state with respect to the unliquidated demands on the Treasury, as to make it impossible tor the Government at present to mature any measure of ways aud means. Mr. GOLTLBURN vindicated the statement of the Duke; upon which Lord Palmerston rose to the res- cue, and taxed the new Ministry with trusting to the chapter of accidents. Sir IL Peel cxprrssed his sur- prise that such a charge should proceed from a Cabi- net which for the years had been subsisting 011 that very chapter. The House then adjourned:

To the Editor of the Advertiser and Guardian. Sin,—1 have read the short paragraph in yoaf paper of the 2nd inst., relative to the scandalous I laggot votes at Dowlais, and I can certify to tho I truth of the remarks therein made. Independent of the obstructions to serving the noticcs, the very form of the claims almost defies enquiry. For instance:— John Humphreys. Dowlais leasehold houses, Dowlais> Thomas Davies, ditto, ditto, top of Dowlais. David Davies, ditto, ditto, Dou-lais. Thomas Williams, ditto, diito, near DOldais yardell, &c. &c. &c. Now, where there are many hundreds of the name of Thomas Davies, David Davies, Thomas Williams* &c., what "description" is the foregoing? it is actually none. An enquiry for such persons is just as likely to be satisfactory, as an enquiry in Loudon would he for :\1r. Williams of Wales. If this wholesale manufacture is allowed to go 011 longer, the county will be swamped by the Dowlais Monopolist, whose iron it is to be hoped is of a better quality than his votes. In addition to this shuffling "description," the Radical Autocrat of Dowiais is still carrying on the spiteful game of wanton objections. Among olher6 objected to in this parish, was a gentleman of pro- perty, fully as large, and certainly as old, as that ot Sir J. J. Guest; his property being also wholly UNENCCMtiEitiii), and therefore affording no prete,-it for so impotent and malicious a proceeding. The same personal hostility has, I am told, bepn perpetra- ted against the same gentleman's tenants in the lowet part of the county, and repeated year after year, notwithstanding previous decisions iu their favour. trust that an act will be shortly passed levving heavy penalty on such wanton and malicious ohjlJc tions, and that, in addition to such penalty, the frivolous objector shall be obliged to pav ail the travelling and other expenses of the party objected to- Your obedient servant, A FKFEHOLDER.
